| Do Fish Scents/Attractants Really Work? |
Posted 12/4/2003 |
An old fishing friend, who taught me tons about perch fishing, provided my first lesson about fish scents. The inside of his tackle box smelled to high heaven of anise oil. The spill in his tackle box was an accident. But, Walt told me that since the anise oil spill he had never caught as many fish. That got me using a cover scent on a regular basis. I cannot tell you if the cover scent attracts the fish or if the cover scent masks my personal scent, which the fish reject. The wildest fishing scent I have ever seen used was WD-40. Don't ask me to explain that one!
